The 2012 CFL Draft has come and gone with the Calgary Stampeders taking eight players. Their first round selection was defensive lineman Ameet Pall from Wofford College. Coach and GM John Hufnagel calls Pall a "consistently hard worker on the field, in the classroom and in the weight room" while bolstering the team's defensive line. Pall had 29 tackles in 11 games for Wofford in 2011, including seven tackles for losses, two sacks and one fumble recovery, while being named the Southern Conference's defensive player of the year and a first-team All-Southern Conference All-Star. The Stamps then traded their second-round pick (12th overall) and fifth-round pick (35th overall) to Saskatchewan for the 15th overall pick and a second-round pick in 2013. They used the 15th overall pick to take defensive back Keenan MacDougall from the University of Saskatchewan. As for the rest of this year's Stampeder draft class:
