The Calgary Flames have dipped into the off-season signing pool. They have inked 25-year-old Czech Republic-born forward Roman Cervenka to a one-year deal worth $3.775-million. Cervenka had 39 points in 54 games with Omsk of the KHL last season. Flames GM Jay Feaster says Cervenka is a "highly-skilled player with great hands, excellent vision and the ability to score goals at an elite level". He had a breakout season two years ago with Jaromir Jagr as a linemate. He's also represented his country at the 2005 World Junior Hockey Championships and the 2010 Olympics.
