The Toronto parking authourity will have to spend nearly $1 million to upgrade their parking machines after the new 2012 Loonie's and Toonies were released by the Royal Canadian Mint.
The new coins have more security features and are cheaper to produce but they weigh a little less than the old coins.
The result is that the almost 3 thousand parking machines around the city will have to be recalibrated at over $350 per machine.
