Premier Alison Redford and the PC Party are getting a big boost from a well respected former premier.
Peter Lougheed is giving his endorsement to Redford, saying he thinks she's poised to take Alberta in the right direction.
In a statement, Lougheed calls Redford a leader who "stands for Alberta and Alberta's natural place in Canada."
Lougheed was premier of Alberta in the seventies and eighties.
