The issue of race has reared its head in the Alberta election campaign.
The Progressive Conservatives are urging people to take note of the skin colour and sexual characteristics of the rival Wildrose candidates.
Tory party strategist Tom Olsen says a quick run-though on the Wildrose Party website shows that most of the those candidates are white males.
He says by comparison the Progressive Conservatives attract a diverse array of people.
Meantime, the Wildrose party is taking Tory leader Alison Redford to task over her campaign promises.
They say her promises have topped seven-billion dollars.
Redford has promised billions of dollars for new schools, tax incentives, and family care clinics recently.
