Almost a week after an alleged drunk driving crash claimed the life of a 19-year-old man in central Alberta the second victim has succumbed to his injuries.

RCMP confirm the second teen, who was 17-years-old, died Friday in hospital.

RCMP say last weekend the pair were pushing their broken down vehicle down Highway 11-A, 8 kilometres east of Highway 2, when a car struck them from behind.

A 29-year-old April Gail Beauclair of Lacombe is facing six criminal charges, including impaired driving causing death.
