The Alberta Liberals are pledging to boost funding for English as a Second Language in the province's schools if elected later this month.
Leader Raj Sherman made the announcement in Calgary today, saying we're leaving a massive resource untapped by failing to help new Canadians integrate into society.
The Liberals would boost ESL funding to schools by 50 percent and provide an additional 20 million dollars per year in adult ESL training.
The Liberals have already announced the elimination of school fees, funding for early childhood education, a school lunch program, and the phasing out of tuition as part of it's election platform.
