A man is facing charges in connection with luring children on the Internet.
Hamilton Police received information earlier this month suggesting a man using the name "Da Majestic" and "Manny" was using social media to offer young girls money for sex.
An undercover officer then posed as a 14-year-old girl on social media and e-mail between April 2nd and 11th, and police allege that during that time the man offered sums of money for sex.
Yesterday afternoon, police say the subject of the investigation went to the area of Upper Ottawa and Lime Ridge with the intent to meet a 14-year-old girl for sexual relations.
He was arrested and had his computer and other electronics from his home seized for examination.
31-year-old Majinder Brar of Hamilton is charged with procuring, Internet luring of someone under 16 years and failing to comply with recognizance.
Police are reminding and encouraging parents to be vigilant with their children's access to the Internet and the use of social media.
