The Hamilton Tiger-Cats were defeated 32-25 by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Winnipeg.
Hamilton took the opening kickoff and marched 73 yards in 8 plays, culminating in a Henry Burris 38 yard TD pass to Chris Williams.
Winnipeg got on the scoreboard when a wide, 49 yard field goal by Justin Palardy, was conceeded for a single.
In the second quarter, Palardy hit a 28 yard field goal, to cut the lead to 7-4, then Chris Williams took a punt and ran it back 71 yards for the touchdown. That was Williams 8th TD of the year, the 4th via a kick return.
On the last play of the half, Palardy connected on a 37 yard field goal.
In the third quarter, Palardy hit his third field goal, from 14 yards, to make the score 14-10 in favour of Hamilton.
After a 43 yard Luca Congi field goal made it 17-10 Hamilton, the Bombers tied the game on a five-yard TD run by Chad Simpson.
In the final quarter, Winnipeg took the lead for the first time, on a 13 yard pass from Joey Elliott to Chris Matthews and a single on the ensuing kickoff made it 25-17.
Burris then hit Williams with an 84 yard bomb for the touchdown, and the two-point convert was converted and that tied the game 25-25.
But, with just under 90 seconds left, Will Ford ran it in from 5 yards to give Winnipeg the 32-25 lead and the win.
The Tiger-Cats are now 3-4, the Blue Bombers are 2-5.
