There's no stopping it now.
Demolition on the Board of Education building at Main and Bay streets is underway.
Crews began taking it down piece by piece today. By early afternoon, a portion of the west wall had been removed.
Officials say the demolition will likely take until the end of the summer with construction of the new McMaster University Health Centre to begin in the fall.
The public school board will build its new offices at the mountain, at a site near Limeridge Mall.
