A receptionist at a fitness club in Halton has serious injuries after a car crashed through the front window of the club.
It happened in the town of Halton Hills yesterday afternoon.
Police say the vehicle demolished the reception area and nearly came out through the rear of the building.
A 36 yr old female employee of the gym was at the reception desk eating her lunch.
She was pushed through the foyer and through a wall into a rear office area, being pinned underneath the vehicle when it came to a stop.
It took crews 45 minutes to free her.
The 33 yr old driver of the SUV and her 19 month old son were not injured.
Police say the focus of the investigation will be on the mechanical fitness of the SUV and possible driver error.
Inspectors and structural engineers from the Town of Halton Hills have ordered that no persons re-enter the building until further detailed inspections are completed.
