The City of Hamilton is again looking into installing cameras on H-S-R busses as a way of reducing transit abuse.
This after two recent attacks on bus drivers.
Amalgamated Transit Union Local 107 V-P Eric Tuck says camera installation was in the 2011 budget –before getting the axe.
Tuck says he's not against the idea of on board cameras, but doubts if it will prevent abuse.
He says it may help more in the aftermath of an incident for identification and prosecution.
Waterloo has bus cameras at a cost of 1.7 million over two years.
