A crash on the Highway 6 Bypass around Caledonia has taken a life.
A tandem tanker truck and an SUV collided head-on around 10 o'clock last night, sending both vehicles into the ditch.
OPP say the tanker burst into flames -- but fortunately it was only the saddle diesel tanks and not the larger tank of fuel it was hauling.
The driver of the SUV was taken to West Haldimand General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
His name has not yet been released.
The driver of the tanker sustained minor injuries.
