Cortez mulls over Ticats roster cuts

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will release a handful of players before midnight Sunday.

All CFL teams must trim their rosters down to 65 players.

Head coach George Cortez says there are several different scenarios that he and his coaching staff will consider.

Cortez says a number of players have not practiced because of injury and that will have an impact on their roster decisions.

The Cats held Saturday's practice at Nelson High School in Burlington as part of their annual Black and Gold Day.

A couple of hundred fans came out to watch the practice and then got autographs from their favourite players.

The Ticats travel to Winnipeg for their final pre-season game on Wednesday night.

CHML's coverage of the game, brought to you by Terra, Canada's Toughest Safety Boots, begins with the pre-game show at 7pm.

Kickoff is at 8 o'clock.
