Hamilton jobseekers can expect a modest hiring climate this summer.
The latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey says 17 percent of local business will be increasing their payroll but at the same time, 10 per cent of them anticipate cutbacks.
The survey suggests that seasonal work as well as oppourtunities in the food and manufacturing industry are accounting for the small increase, while summer slowdowns in some sectors are contributing to cuts.
The survey also suggests 67 per cent of employers plan to maintain their current staffing levels and another six per cent are unsure of their hiring intentions for the upcoming quarter that runs from July to September.
