An 18-year-old St. Catharines man is dead after falling about 30 feet from a flagpole in Crystal Beach.
The man has been identified as Clayton Wismer.
The teenager climbed the flagpole at the end of a pier yesterday afternoon, but he fell and hit the cement before entering the water.
Several people jumped in to get Wismer back onto the pier where he died of his injuries.
A post mortem will be conducted today at Hamilton General Hospital.
