A man is facing a drunk driving charge after a serious single vehicle crash in the town of Pelham.
Niagara Police say the car went out of control while going through an intersection and Station and College streets shortly after 1:30 this morning.
It veered off the roadway and struck a large tree in the front yard of a home on Station Street.
One passenger had to be airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Another passenger was treated in hospital and released, while the driver is being treated for serious injuries at Welland County hospital.
Phil Jantzi has been charged with Impaired Driving Cause Bodily Harm, and Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm.
The investigation is continuing and Niagara Police are asking witnesses to give them a call.
