One man is in hospital and another is in police custody following an early morning stabbing near the downtown core.
Hamilton Police say two men who knew each other got into an altercation on Hess Street South at around 2 a.m. Saturday.
One of the men was injured with what police describe as a sharp-edged weapon.
He fled to a nearby apartment building on Hunter Street West.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries
The other man was arrested and is facing charges.
