An early moring crash on the westbound QEW in Mississauga has left a 23 year old woman dead.
OPP say the chain reaction crash started when a Lincoln town car rear-ended a Nissan Altima at Mississauga Rd.
The Nissan lost control and went into the right ditch, while the Lincoln veered into the passing lane.
The driver of the Lincoln got out of his car which was then rear ended by a BMW, sending it across all 3 lanes before it was hit by a tractor-trailer.
A man driving the BMW suffered minor injuries, his female passenger was taken to hospital and pronounced dead. The driver of the Lincoln has been charged with careless driving.
Lanes of the westbound QEW were closed for several hours but have been re-opened.
