Tender fruit farmers have had their worst fears confirmed.
Last weekend's cold snap has caused widespread crop damage across Ontario, including Niagara and Hamilton.
The record setting warm spell in March followed by the cold snap and frost have killed off a significant amount of the fruit buds.
How bad the damage is largely depends on where the orchards are.
Some farms are reporting as much as 90 per cent damage but there are some farms that were largely untouched.
Grape growers are worried as well, although many have invested in gas powered fans to circulate warmer air and stave off frost.
It will be a week or so before there's a report on damage to the grape industry.
