The S-I-U has cleared Hamilton police in the death of a motorist in Flamborough.
Investigators say 38-year-old Bibi Shazeena Ally was driving in a dangerous manner and ignored officers who were directing traffic on the route of a bicycle race last month.
Officers attempted to signal the vehicle driven by Ally to stop; but police say she ignored them and accelerated through the intersection of Middletown Road and Concession Road 5 at a high rate of speed. Officers had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
She died after her vehicle rolled and hit some trees.
Agency director Ian Scott says police were in no way responsible for her death.
