One thing you won't see on Burlington's Brant Street Pier is a wind turbine.
Burlington Council made a unanimous decision to drop the installation due to the expense of refitting a nearby transformer to accept the turbine's surplus power in battery packs.
That would cost 70 thousand dollars and take Burlington 53 years to break even on the project.
It was originally suggested as a way to demonstrate and support wind power.
