Halton Police have released the results of a week-long campaign aimed at getting more drivers to buckle up.
Officers gave out 186 warnings and wrote up 198 tickets to drivers not wearing their belts.
The majority of the offences -- about 100 -- occured in Milton and Halton Hills.
Roughly 60 drivers were ticketed in Oakville and another 30 or so in Burlington.
Chief Gary Crowell says officers in the region will continue to educate and enforce seatbelt compliance in an effort to reduce personal injury and fatal collisions.
