Police are still trying to identify human remains that were found last week on a farmer's property near Smithville.
Investigators say that a post mortem has been completed and has not revealed the identity of the deceased. Further tests are planned which could take several months to complete.
The cause of death and gender are not being released by Niagara Police.
The remains were found last Thursday in a rural area near Church Road, between South Chippawa Road and Concession Road 2.
