Big changes are coming to a portion of Dundurn Street.
The city will be installing bicycle lanes next week on the busy west end route, between King Street West and York Boulevard.
For motorists, the changes mean that one northbound lane will cease to exist and there will be one driving lane in each direction along with separate bike lanes on each side of the road.
The changes also link existing bicycle lanes on York Boulevard to Dundurn Street South and ultimately the Hamilton-Brantford Rail Trail and the Chedoke Rail Trail.
The new lanes also bring Hamilton's on-street cycling network to 130 kilometres.
