Testing on the new West LRT is officially underway with C-Train cars rolling on the tracks.
However, it will not be open to the public until early next year.
The line was supposed to be in service this December, but has been delayed by about three months.
Also, the project's $1.4 billion dollar price tag is about to grow by at least $44 million because of increased construction costs, land acquisition, and a city policy to include art at public buildings.
Those costs will be debated by a city committee Wednesday.
