Five members of a Calgary family seriously hurt in a crash in B.C. over the weekend are now expected to survive. The mother, father and three children were on their way from Calgary to Vancouver when they crashed on the TransCanada highway in the Salmon Arm area. All were seriously hurt and were sent to area hospitals. RCMP Cst. Lesley Smith says the crash happened at 5:30 in the morning Saturday after they'd been driving all night, and it's suspected driver fatigue is to blame. Mis-use of seatbelts is blamed for the extent of the injuries.
