A year ago, the wildfire situation in Alberta was quite different.
Around this time last year, we were reporting that there were 31 active wildfires throughout the province.
Right now there are 12 wildfires in Alberta and all are under control.
We've had an extremely dry winter, but the spring rain showers have been a blessing.
Next week will mark the one year anniversary of the wildfires that swept through Slave Lake, destroying about 400 homes.
