Man. Those Eskimos. Two weeks of amazing play and now this game. I bet everyone (I was too) was expecting the Eskimos to put up a little more points than they did. But in order to beat those Lions you need an arduous effort. Completing only 6 of 24 passes is definitely not enough. Last week we thought that they were incorporating their playmakers a lot more into the offence. Hugh Charles with only 7 carries for 35 yards. Jerome Messam had only 1 carry for 22 yards. Fred Stamps 2 catches for 67 yards. Last week Joseph had 19 passes for 280 yards and 3 TD’s. Coehoorn had 4 catches for 77 yards and a TD, Cary Koch had 6 catches for 66 yards and a TD. But they put up points. Saskatchewan has a good defence and so does BC. But being this inconsistent team is not good enough. If we want to be 11-7 like last year without Ricky Ray, there has to be a plan for the Eskimos to be able to involve everyone of their important playmakers in the offence every week. I know it’s easier said than done but it really doesn’t make much sense to have playmakers like Stamps, Koch, Coehoorn and some weeks giving the ball to them 6 or 7 times with at least one touchdown. Other weeks we only give them the ball 2,3 or even four times. That’s a big difference and that needs to be fixed.
