Primeau & Grose: Behind the Scenes

A Funny This Happened On The Way To The Festival. 

Yesterday I whined about how busy I was. By the time I got to The Citadel last night I was exhausted and while I didn't have to go on stage I did want to stay around for our VIP reception.   I watched Samantha King belt out O' Canada and Jim Cuddy destroy with his comedy and singing. But as each headliner took the stage I was busy running around back stage taking phone calls and answering texts. Carole and I had words a few times... 2 bulls in a china shop. When the show was done and the crowd was leaving we started to see Tweets saying how fantastic it had been. I asked the comedians to head upstairs to the reception so they could meet their fans. Graham grabbed Jim Cuddy and took him up. Carole started cleaning up the green room. I sat and ate a little wrap that the other comedians had left behind.

I look up... there's Mayor Mandel and his wife who had arrived too late for the show. I said "Mayor! How was your day?" He smiled. "It was great."

What the hell have I been whining about?
