Primeau & Grose: Behind the Scenes

For those of you wondering when things will return to normal around the Afternoon News here's what's happening. Having taken a large bite out of her vacation time Primeau returns to the show Friday. She was going to take the Friday off as well but I was booked to do shows down in Calgary so Primeau was kind enough to offer to come back early since she was in town anyway. The truth be known Primeau can't stay away from the station whether she's working or not and often comes in on her days off when she's in town. Me... not so much.

So Monday would be the return of Primeau and Grose if it weren't for the fact that the Eskimos are in Calgary playing the Stampeders and the game starts at 2:30. Our broadcast team is coming to my show on Saturday night at The Laugh Shop but I'll be back in Edmonton watching the game on TV Monday despite being offered tickets. That means Primeau and Grose will actually feature Primeau and Grose for the first time in over a month on Tuesday Afternoon.

I, for one, can't wait. Say what you want about the 2 of us it's hard to argue that the show is the same when either of us are gone. Two years after this experiment began I'm still the only person that can hold my own with Primeau and she's still the only one that causes me to want to reach across a table and strangle someone. Primeau is also one of the few people on the planet that actually makes me laugh right out loud. She doesn't always intend to but she often does.

I've enjoyed my time off. I've enjoyed doing shows alone. I've enjoyed working with J'Lyn but those are all substitutions for the real thing... Primeau and Grose.
