Back from 10 days at Ol' MacDonalds Resort and ready to get back in the "big" chair at CHED for 2 weeks of Primeau and Grose without Primeau. I listened in here and there to see how the show was going, texted back and forth with Primeau and read the listener texts before going to bed at night. My favorite:
"Punt Gross, the show is way better without him."
I guess you just can't please everyone.
We don't camp like anyone I know and among our annual traditions is the filming of "The Camping Video." This year it was "The Real House Wives of Group Site 2." The video is on my Facebook Fan page but here's the YouTube link. I will warn you that there is a LANGUAGE and CONTENT warning for this video. Do NOT watch it if you're easily offended. While I typically phone in to the show while camping I wanted to save any stories I might have for when I was back (and alone) on the show. I expect that will be what at least part of the show will be about today. In addition to the video we always have a pot luck night, a dinner cruise night, a comedy show night, many rounds of "Man Tracker" and at least one emergency. We had all of that this year.
Our group site serves as a drop in place for friends and family and while the core group of 9 stayed the entire 10 days we had as many as 32 campers in the site at one time. People come and go as their schedules permit and everyone is always welcome at our fire. It's always sad to see everyone pack up on that last day although for the first time in 14 years we didn't do it in pouring rain.
As much fun as camping is, I'm glad to be back. I just have to get through these 2 weeks without Primeau and everything goes back to normal in September.
