Primeau & Grose: Behind the Scenes

J'Lyn and I head to The Indy today and I just have a feeling this is going to go badly. J'Lyn's had trouble getting her accreditation picked up so they may not even let her in. Of course she could just buy a ticket I suppose... but if I got turned away at the gate I'd likely leave in a pout rather than pay.

The show is 1/2 longer than usual because we have football at 6:30 and it didn't make sense for Dan to come in to do a 30 minute Inside Sports when I was already there. J'Lyn has to leave at 6 though so I'm on my own for half an hour. The Indy website says they lock the gates at 6:30 so I may get locked in.

Did I mention J'Lyn and I know NOTHING about the Indy? That's a small problem. I've tried to read up on it all last night but I'm really just not a car guy at all. Of all the days to do an extra 30 minutes did it have to be the day we're talking about something I know nothing about and I'm on my own? If we get some guests that will help shed light on the race if between the 2 of us we can ask at least a few good questions. My weakness is definitely doing interviews though... so I'll need J'Lyns help on that.

Then there's the fact that no remote I've ever done has ever been technical problem free and I don't have Primeau with me to tell me what to do. Oh lord please get me through this.

Meanwhile my mind will be elsewhere all day anyway. My daughter and 3 friends are driving to Kelowna today and I'm worried sick about her being on the highway. Actually I don't like having her away from me in general. She agreed to text me once an hour to say she was okay but I keep wanting to just pick up the phone and tell her to come home. I'm flying her back next week so that's less stressful but it's going to be a lot of sleepless nights for me until she's home safe and sound.
