Primeau & Grose: Behind the Scenes

With the football season beginning Saturday it was finally time to post the first installment of "From The Sidelines with Andrew Grose." In this first one http://www.630ched.com/esks/ I talk with #55 Rashad Jeanty who, it turns out, is a very funny guy. Last year the video version of "Sidelines" was the same as the audio version that airs during Morley's pre-game show but this year it's something entirely different. All the video Sidelines will feature a different Eskimo each week having a little fun and not getting asked any serious questions at all... I'll leave that to the real sports guys.

I really enjoyed doing this and I hope people enjoy watching them. I'm a huge Eskimo fan so it was great to get to meet the players and I love trying to bring the funny out in people. It wasn't hard with these guys. I didn't get to everyone I wanted to on the first taping so I'll be headed back to Commonwealth sometime this summer to talk to a few more and I'm really looking forward to that.

The biggest advantage of this over what I did last year is not having to drive down to Commonwealth every week and not having to memorize a script. These are all just off the top of my head questions and off the top of their head answers. Before each interview I said to each player "I'm a comedian... this is meant to be fun so just have fun with it" and man oh man did some of the guys do just that.
