Lesley is taking the next 2 weeks off (except for this Friday when the Poitical Pundits will be in and I'll be gone) so I'm left to my own devices for show topics, blogs and Facebook postings.

Graham Neil and I have been working really hard to put together another great comedy festival for Edmonton and I'm excited to give you a sneak peek at some of the acts we have coming. Derek Edwards, Nicki Payne and Steve Patterson are all confirmed along with 26 other acts. The full line up will be announced June 6th and there'll be some big names in that announcement.
If you have a sports team or a charity that wants to raise some quick cash we're offering "Comedy for a Cause." We sell you a show at The Westin or 4 Points by Sheraton. Here's how it works: You pick a show on Friday at either venue and buy all the tickets (That's 150 at 4 Points or 130 at The Westin) and we'll discount them by 50%. You resell them through your organization for the face value and the profit is yours. That will raise $1625 to $1875 for your organization pretty painlessly. We need your commitment before June 6th when all the tickets go on sale to the general public. We provide the stage, the venue, the talent, the volunteers and everything else... you just have to sell the tickets. If you're a sports team, for example, with 25 players you get each set of parents to buy 6 tickets and... voila... you're sold out and you raised $1875.
