Primeau & Grose: Behind the Scenes

Lesley took to her soap box today to tell listeners to make up their own minds about who to vote for on Monday. Now typically I don't like it when Primeau preaches but in this case I totally agree. People are reacting to half truths and unreliable information and listeners are calling in with stories like the PC's are burning documents to hide their crimes and no one says "Wait... that's just a lie." I don't want to edit what callers say but I can't just sit here while people spew lies about anyone. I won't let anyone lie even if it furthers my personal beliefs. It's wrong. I understand you want your party to win but if you have to lie to make your point... you don't have a point. And if you sit quietly while someone else lies... you're just as bad.

I don't want to tell you how to vote. It's your vote. I don't want you to let anyone tell you how to vote and I definitely don't want anyone to tell me how to vote. With an internet at everyone's disposal there is absolutely no reason not to know whatever you need to know about each and every candidate from each and every party. Do NOT simply take anything you hear from any media outlet including ours to be an absolute truth.

When a caller this week blurted out "Get off the PC payroll"and then hung up I couldn't contain my laughter. I'm not on the PC payroll. I'm not even a Conservative period. I just don't want to be seen as being a member of BS party.
