Primeau & Grose: Behind the Scenes

Next week we begin a game of musical chairs CHED style.

Lesley is taking 2 weeks off... sort of. She would have all of next week off except I have to be in Saskatoon on Friday so she's coming back to cover that show. That leaves the co-host chair empty from Monday to Thursday but J'Lyn can step in Monday, but not Tuesday. She's available Wednesday and Thursday but not Friday. That leaves me looking for a co-host Tuesday and Lesley looking for a co-host Friday. I was planning on leaving early Wednesday to get down to a show in Innisfail but J'Lyn doesn't know the CHED board and I can't just abandon the ship so I may have to push the Innisfail show back 1/2 hour or find someone to work the board for J'Lyn for 30 minutes. I called Morley to see if he could cover Tuesday because I definitely don't feel ready to anchor a 3 hour show by myself and he's available Monday and Tuesday. It helps with the flow of things to not be switching back and forth so it makes the most sense to bring in Morley Monday and Tuesday and J'Lyn Wednesday and Thursday and then Lesley and the Pundits Friday. There... that takes care of that week.

The week after Lesley is gone every day. J'Lyn can cover Monday, Thursday and Friday but can't do Tuesday and Wednesday. Morley is available all week. Minimizing the switching back and forth we then bring Morley in Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and J'Lyn Thursday and Friday. Okay I think that works too.

So I send out the email to everyone and to everyone's boss happily decalring that I have the entire schedule worked out but I accidentally say October instead of April because my head was in Festival mode and the festival is in October and I say April instead of May because... well I'm just thinking about too many things at one time... and get this reply from Morley:

"I am presuming by October you mean April , and by April you mean May. Calendars are hard."
