Primeau & Grose: Behind the Scenes

I get asked a lot (and by that I mean 2 people have asked) why I always take the day off when Lesley's "Political Pundits"are in. It's actually the other way around. Usually I have to be somewhere else so Lesley gets them in to replace me. Monday, however, that was not the case. With a provincial election on the way Lesley wanted to have them in and I didn't need to be out of town until after the election so I suggested that I just take Monday off and make room for them.

The studio has 4 mics so I could be here with the Pundits but I would honestly prefer not to for a number of reasons. Firstly, I believe 4 voices is too many voices for people to listen to while listening on their radios and I don't want to contribute to aggravating our listeners. Secondly, politics just isn't my thing. I follow the issues and research the candidates but I do that to make an informed decision when I go to the polls and not to try and convince listeners to vote one way or another. Finally, it's my gift to Lesley. The Pundits were a regular feature on her show before I came along and I think she really enjoys reliving that from time to time.
