Just a heads up as you plan lunch for tomorrow, May 2^nd. It is McHappy Day. One dollar from every Big Mac, McHappy meal and hot McCafe drink will go to McDonald’s Children’s Charities, including Ronald McDonald House.

Many years ago when the earth was young and this was a music station, the teen choice across the city, I would often be called upon to provide the music for staff parts held for McDonald’s employees. Fast forward about 15 years and a new Program Director I worked under asked if I remembered doing one for the Capilano staff. It turns out he was there and here I was years later, working for him. It is great training ground. These kids work extremely hard, have to learn to think fast on their feet and master some elemental skills, not the least of which is pristine cleanliness and customer relations. I have no doubt some reading this may have a McDonald’s job as a part of their resume.

So as you support a great cause, be nice to those who serve you. One day you may wind up serving them…and have a McHappy Day!
