Burning Hatred

As I watch the nightly coverage from the Middle East and see the American flag and effigy burnings by people with hatred brimming over, I wonder how they keep it up day after day and where it will all end. I think every religion gets bad PR at some time or another, but only one, gets violent and threatens death to those responsible. Why is that? I saw a week-end interview with author Salman Rushdie on HBO. He has been on the receiving end but does not blame the rioters. In his opinion, they want the American lifestyle: The house, the car, the family, the job. He says because they live under the thumb of a ruler who must approve everything, they assume everything that comes out of the U-S must also be with the blessing of the U-S government, including that egregious film.
