Police On Steroids

In many aspects of life it’s small group of people who require or demand the most attention. Most people do not attract the attention of police, but a small group of people keep police busy on a regular basis. Now, police are turning the tables, going after a small group of people, the 100 worst drivers. Police squads that Chief Knecht calls “traffic teams on steroids” are patrolling trouble spots and targeting criminals and their cars. It may be this pro-active stance that has so many Edmontonians happy with the work police do. A Survey done by Advantis, presented to the Police Foundation, shows a satisfaction rate higher than the national average, whether the respondent phones police or went to the station or had police come out. The top three things you are concerned about, according to this survey, include people breaking into houses, vandalism, and leading the list, traffic. ...
