Sunday Paper

Yesterday, on Canada Day, as many people took a breather from work and contemplated what the rest of the year would bring, Judy and Fred were thinking about some of the little changes in their lives and things that will be missed. One of them will be the Sunday Edmonton Journal. Judy and Fred shared sections of the paper as they enjoyed their Sunday morning coffee ever since they moved here decades ago. They paid for the paper, even though there were times they thought they could not afford it. Days later, of course, it was always handy for everything from wrapping vegetable peelings to packing breakables for travel. They will not be reading the Journal on-line as the paper disappears. They would rather have paid another thirty dollars a month for a Sunday Journal than buy another computer and pay for the internet, what with the price of utilities going ever higher.
