This election campaign, supposedly about health care and energy and such is now discussing religious intolerance. Wildrose candidate Allan Hunsperger’s blog about homosexuals and a lake of fire has other parties critical of Danielle Smith for supporting his right to believe. The gay community wants an apology. Alison Redford is shocked at the Hunsperger homily and says Ted Morton’s motion against gay marriage was different. Alberta is not alone. Another situation is playing itself out in California. A former computer specialist at NASA, David Coppedge is suing his employer for wrongful dismissal. A Christian, he says he was fired for discussing his intelligent design belief with other workers. His supervisor accused him of pushing his religion. He claims the right to freedom of speech and charges religious intolerance.
