The election is another day closer, and when I ask people if they’re going to vote this time, too often there is an excuse. I’m really busy; maybe if we could vote on line. Others say despite all the talk about politics, they don’t feel there’s a leader they know enough about to trust. And, when it comes down to the individual candidates for MLA, it gets even worse. Not only do they not know who to count on to vote for them and not just the party line, people don’t even know some of these candidates. It’s like they just pop up when an election is called. Do these door-knockers even live in my community? I’ve never heard of them. It would be nice if someone I’ve come to trust at the community league or sports club or church put their name forward instead of all these strangers. I ...
