The announcement that the penny is being discontinued is still bringing mail. Maria says when the penny finally disappears, so will the psychological pricing like 2.99. She expects it will just be rounded up to $3.00. At that point she says they should be forced to add the GST so you have the full price on the sticker. Maria says they do it in Europe, so, why not here? Like many of you, I have bottles of pennies I’ve been tossing in for years rather than carry them around. I wondered if I should save my pennies for my grandchildren as collector’s items. Scott tweets just give one penny to each and roll and bank the rest. Linda says they’ll love collecting grandpa pennies. Jerry tweets he has a five gallon pail nearly full that he can barely move. Well, Jerry, CISN Country’s Mike McGuire is collecting pennies for charity. ...
