Bilderberg

So, Wildrose is whining about Premier Redford being invited to the Bilderberg conference.  Danielle Smith says the premier is just padding her resume for the future.  Oh, please.  I wonder what would have happened if a Premier Smith had been invited to the conference of world leaders.  Past meetings have seen the Premiers of Ontario, B.C., and New Brunswick attend as well as four prime ministers.  This is a meeting of leaders in politics, finance, education, labor, etc.  A Bilderberg website says they meet in private, so they can speak freely about world issues without having their comments interpreted by third parties.  They make public who is there and the topics of discussion, and if there’s something big at stake, the decision makers are right there.  Security keeps the protesters out.  Conspiracy theorists would have us believe they are secretly ruling the world. As one attendee put it, if we are, we’re not doing a very good job.  As for Premier Redford missing out on a meeting with NDP leader Thomas Mulcair, others can explain the oil sands while Alberta is represented on the world stage.  Let me know what you think.

Bob, I wonder how quickly Thomas Mulcair would change his view of Alberta if we stopped sending all the extra payments Alberta makes to those Provinces less fortunate than we are. I believe that this points out how dysfunctional the government really is.

@Cheryl ...or all the taxes that the eastern workers pay in their respective provincial taxes. I'm not sure of the non-albertan percentage working at/near the oilsands but a huge amount of that money goes NON-ALBERTAN! .... I could go on.....

@Cheryl The FACT that none of the national North American media is covering ANY portion of these meetings is suspicious. The group is suspicious and unnaturally suspicious by their refusal to disclose anything about the purpose and outcomes of their meetings. This group should be banned from holding such unnaturally suspicious meetings on the North American continent!!!

Bob replies: Sounds like a simple case of fear of the unknown to me.

@Barry @ Barry, do some reading about the Bilderberg Group. A great book to read is called "Rule by Secrecy" by Jim Marrs.

ho...humm here we go again. And I...voted Wildrose??? As each day in the public goes on I wonder where my head was. I really admire Redford for going for the global ideas instead of the head between the rocks attitude. My goodness, Danielle Smith needs to stop painting Redford with the brush she painted herself with. Redford is way above that bush league mentality.. Wildrose needs to get out of the 'high school- I'm so right' mentality and be more proactive rather than trying to knock others and their ideas. Ohhhh...wait a minute....maybe they have nothing to offer Albertans and are just winging it!
Mulchair, NDP leader...good on him for exciting people about the oilsands and all Canadians will be informed on the Oilsands after today. Great free press for Alberta...it may go viral. The Deputy Premier can handle that issue.

@Basil As one who voted for the Wildrose candidate in my riding not that long ago, there is something to be said about voting for the alternative when the old guard banks on a high oil price, and saying, "what's the fuss" in regards to committee members not working, but being paid.

I'm with Danielle. It's all very well to hob-nob with the elites, but back home there's a lot of work to do, including cleaning up some of the illegal election contributions we have endured over the last number of years. How about commenting on that Bob?

While i can appreciate and applaud she has "snubbed" Mulcair by not being available, I doubt she can contribute much at the conference unless it is all about how to get higher pay, perks and pensions as a civil servant, Union or special interest groups.

Bob replies: I'm posting this just to show how unfair some comments can be. You know she is not into higher pay, perks, or pensions.

Bob,...on the front page of your blog,...it shows 15 comments,...but there are only 8 here, which means you have filtered out 7 comments that YOU don't like,...
Don't give us that baloney that you are being Liberal by allowing your listeners and bloggers posting their opinions of your blog,...because the NUMBERS show that you don't! You support the Conservatives,..you really can't hide it! So please stop trying to insult our intelligence here by making it sound like you are posting the "real and ALL" opinions of your blog listeners!
As this won't get on YOUR blog, I hope it helps you realize the errors of your WAYS!!!

Bob replies: The reason the others don't show is that I've spent the last hour deleting the same comment posted over and over a couple of dozen times. You even see a conspiracy in the numbers.

So why have their existance be denied for so long Bob. They only have a web site now because they can no longer hide. So no need to be concerned with agenda 21 either hey Bob? Ask Lord Munckton about this, he acually knows what he is talking about, not just running his mouth like the rest of the presstitutes! Just some good ol' boys meeting for they good of us all then, hey Bob? Why so secret, why not allow it to be televised if there is nothing to hide, and put all us Conspiracy crazies to rest? Come on Bob the same families have been in control for hundreds of years, this is not hard to verify. The forefathers of the US warned us about the people behind the governments and banks. But I guess they we all nuts too! Hey Bob?

Bob replies: You lost me at "presstitutes".

@Jason Humphrey Don't waste your breath Jason. Bob doesn't want to hear about it. Meanwhile we will be taxed again and again and again. Alison Redford going to this meeting just confirms my suspicions about her. The Bildebergers will continue to run our lives from behind closed doors in secret forever because there's no news agency with the guts to stand up to them. Remember a lot of mainstream media moguls attend that meeting as well. What do you think they are going to report? Nada! The 1% rules. Get over it and get on your knees. Serve your masters quietly.

      Bob replies: That's better.

@Jason Humphrey I guess you have never seen Fox news or CNN then Hey Bob? These media operations are bought and paid for by the people the control the news. Remember Iraq? When the statue of sadam was brought down? It turned out to be reporters doing it, and was completly staged. BBC using footage from other much older news stories to make a new story look worse than it was, on more than occasion. CCN cought airing the same type of stuff. Oh how about the Britsh soldiers dressed up as Arabs riding around in car firing weapons and had explosives on them? Then cought jailed, then broke out of jail by the military. No questions asked. Media digs up all sorts of dirt on every presidential hopeful except for Obama. Why Bob? No transcripts, He was or still is a huge Pot head, birth cert. proven to be fake. But not a word from mainstream media.I guess in Bob perfect world this does not happen.

Bob replies: I still don't know who you think is controlling the news - in four decades I've never met them. As for proof the Obama bert cert is fake, if that was true, it would be the lead item on every newscast in the world. Show me the proof, please.

Is Alison Redford attending the Bilderberg conference, in Virginia, in an official government capacity as "Premier of Alberta", and not as a private individual?

If so, then why does the official website for the Bilderberg conference state that "Participants attend Bilderberg in a private and not an official capacity."?

If Alison Redford is instead attending the Bilderberg conference as a private individual in a private capacity, then why are taxpayers expected to pay for Alison Redford's costs of attending the private Bilderberg conference?

@DavidW_12 I enjoyed reading the comments today...all of us commenters... that is why we are where we are (average Joe) and Alison is where she is (doing something for our great Alberta). Easy for us to sit and throw a few words on paper - pretty safe for us! She has done more for us in 8 months than we sometimes deserve. (at a risk of all of our negativity)
Thanks Alison...we have won me over!

Pile of crap Bob! Nowhere on their website is there a list of who is going to attend....NO list,..NO list,...NO list!
If you can find a detailed list of 2012 participants on their Bilderberg web site with names, group, and country attending,....print it out,....and I'll EAT IT!

It is a very scary thought that Premier Redford would attend a Bilderburg meeting. All the shakers and movers in world domination and eugenics attend these meetings to discuss how to decrease the world population to 500,000,000 and tax the crap out of us with all this anthropogenic global warming crap. Wake up people, you are acquiescing to your enslavement. I agree with Jason, why all the secrecy and security needed. It's because the sheeple don't need to know what the controllers have planned for us. Conspiracy theororists are people seeking the truth because they are sick of the lies and secrecy sourrounding governement, corporations, bankers, and the elite.

Bob replies: So, how do you know what is true and what is false and what is just made-up conspiracist baloney? Please share with me the magic formula.

I figure that when you treat people who have been to previous Bilderberg meetings, with respect, such as Conrad Black, you won't get all the goings-on, but you will get at least part of the picture.

In Richard Pipes' autobiography, "Vixi", he talked about how Jeane Kirkpatrick was treated just after Reagan's inauguration in 1981. She needed allies to set the misconceptions right.

    Bob,
We are still dealing with secret combinations like they did in the Book of Mormon. President Ezra Taft Benson said in a talk, "there is no such thing as conspiracy theory, only conspiracy fact. He suggested that church members read the book, None Dare Call it Conspiracy" by Gary Allen. If you google this information, you will find President Benson's general conference talk saying this.

You are playing with fire by claiming that it isn't nothing important and that it doesn't help build God's kingdom by supporting/ignoring these secretive groups. I beg and plead with you to do further research on the internet as well as read books regarding terrible conspiracies going on to children of God.

One other thing, if you check the US dollar bill, you will find a pyramid with the words "New World Order" underneath it.

Bob replies: Doing research on the internet is like asking a fast food outlet if their burgers are good for you. As for secrecy, ask the Church to show us their financial statements.
    1. AaronK_5189 posted on 06/01/2012 06:20 PM This comment was edited by a moderator at 08:45 AM on 06/02/2012
@AaronK_5189 You are quick to attack my position on researching on the internet, but aren't we on the internet talking about this REAL issue?
You switch the secrecy of the Bilderberg Group to the financials of the church. The church isn't trying to have New World Order and isn't trying to kill millions of people every year.

If you don't like the internet (even though you use it Bro. Layton) then you can always go to great informative books about this issue and/or check out some great documentaries. Maybe even watch some video taking place with protests at the current meeting this year.

It's sad to see someone responding with a quick tongue rather than humility and willing to look at other points of view as well as maybe gathering more knowledge and information about the Bilderberg Group.

Bob replies: Then please show where where there is some legitimate information on Bilderberg, and not just some some fearmongering suppositions from people who have never been to a meeting and may well be chasing invisible monsters.

I am amazed and disappointed at some of the comments here. Like it or not, Alberta is on the world stage. We are fortunate to have a Premier who can hold her own under those circumstances. The Bilderberg conference is indeed a "private" event, not unlike G8 or G20 meetings. We do not get to observe what goes on behind closed doors there either. I'll bet a whole lot more will be accomplished in Virginia than at any G8 or G20 gathering. As for Danielle Smith and her incessant whining, it doesn't matter what the Premier decided, she would have been criticized for her decision. I think it's going to be a long four years of continual attacks by the Wildrose that will only serve to detract and undermine forward progress in Alberta.

Basil, I am thinking that before long there will be lots more in your position. Perhaps we will see support groups popping up in every constituency.

@Eileen B Perhaps Eileen B....you could explain why some of the participants of these "secretive" Bilderberger meetings,...also show up at the G8 and the G20 and whatever other useless meetings these groups seem to feel necessary without accomplishing absolutely "anything" of consequence.....If the advise they coagulate together has left the world in the state that it is in,....we are ALL doomed.
As for Bob,...he will get his wakeup call when he goes down to his bank and there is NOTHING there,...neither a pension,...neither any savings....everything he has ever worked for ....GONE!!! Do you think THAT is an impossibility Bob!..Then YOU need to wake up! 3,000,000,000 people saying the same thing can't all be wrong,...the other 4,000,000,000 are all asleep!

Bob replies: You point out the same people at these events; we see the same protesters at each event. Seems like they're just there for the party and the vandalism.

Ahhhhh, you must have written this with tongue in cheek, Mr. Layton. I can not surmise otherwise.

What IS the Premier doing at a private function on OUR dime? The Leader of the Opposition is very astute in succintly pinpointing the issue with this "private" meeting. The summons list . . . ummm, the "guest list" is telling in itself and should make one question how the Premier's attendance would truly benefit Albertans. Or are Albertans finally being properly exposed to the pitfalls of Agenda 21?

Bob replies: Why are you so hung up on Agenda 21. What are you reading into it that makes sustainable development a bad thing?

@KC @ Bob - It has to be realized that Agenda 21 encompasses many facets of an individual's and a society's way of life. Addressing the one Agenda 21 issue you mention of "sustainable development" - an extremely abbreviated explanaition:- an higher value is placed on wildlife and ecological values than human life or its progress with a redistribution of wealth as its goal.

A bit more background of "sustainable development": the phrase was coined by the vice-president of the World Socialist Pary - Gro Harlem Brundland.

When the new green is the old red words such as "sustainable", "smart (+ noun) **should** be a red flag for those who cherish their's and their families' independence, freedom, privacy and property.

Bob replies: I appreciate your opinion, but how does this relate to losing our freedom?

@KC Agenda 21 was held in 1992 in Brazil, South America. And what was accomplished from these meetings? Nothing! See comment below!

"The competitive global economy is responsible for this Deforestation in South America as well. People exploit their only resource to become rich. This has lead to environmental loss. If people does not get conscious of their action it will soon lead to their own destruction. Deforestation in South America has to stop immediately."

They want to implement their ideals in countries like Canada which already have environment protection agendas, but countries like China, Russia, and South America think nothing of polluting and destroying their environments but tell the rest of the world, to mind their own business. And of course, when China becomes involved in OUR natural resources, they will be very respectful in protecting and preserving OUR environment. SUPREME HORSE MANURE!!!
So what kind and how long do you think Dow Chemical has been dumping that "treated waste water" into that river....now that their pants have been dropped!!
