With A Little Help From My Friends

The election is over for most of us, but not for Henry Kozak. Living in Castledowns, he gave permission for a Thomas Lukaszuk sign to be put on his fence. One morning he came out of the house to find the poster tossed in his flower bed. On examining his fence with the brick columns, he discovered that the cement caps on the columns and some of the brick work had also been torn off when the vandals took down the sign. Henry took that as a message not to vote P.C. Had just the sign been removed, it wouldn’t have been so bad, but to damage his property made it personal. He notified the campaign office and the police. Henry wonders what to do next; forfeit his right to put up a sign? Keep his insurance low by paying for the damage himself? Accept that this is how Alberta politics is now done? At 81 and on a fixed income, paying for the damage is hard, and he can’t do any heavy lifting. Here’s what I told Henry, I’m betting the victorious PCs in your area know someone who could fix that fence and would like the opportunity to say thanks. Let me know if I’m right.
