Last week’s editorial on bullying is still bringing response from people who lived through it and understand how Amanda Todd felt. Some admit seeing others bullied and doing nothing about it. If they had it to do over again, knowing what they know now, they would have taken some kind of action. Others have stories of how a principal quietly arranged for some football players and wrestlers to tune up a bully. Pinned up against a wall and scared, he found out what it felt like and he never bothered anyone again. Did you see the movie The Hand That Rocks The Cradle? Some say the bystanders have to engage the bully, even if it’s standing passively around the victim in a circle. Bullies don’t do well in those situations.
