The Edmonton Oilers have another young goaltender under contract. The Oilers announced the signing of Dylan Wells to a three-year entry level deal on Wednesday.
Wells, 19, is coming off a strong season with the OHL’s Peterborough Petes. Wells registered a 3.07 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage in 52 regular season games. He also tied for 3rd in the OHL with 33 wins and was nominated for the OHL’s Goaltender of the Year Award.
The Oilers selected Wells in the 5th round, 123rd overall, in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. (bu)
