An investigation involving a seven-year-old girl who was found lying in the road in medical duress has been taken over by the EPS Major Collision Investigations Unit.
Southeast Division patrol members responded to the collision call near 35 Street and 43 Avenue around 9 o’clock Friday night.
Reports indicated to police that the girl allegedly ran across the residential street when she was struck by a truck driven by a male.
The girl was transported to hospital with what appeared to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being treated by paramedics.
